Provision of the website and creation of log files

Contact forms, support, registration for events and webinars

If you contact us by e-mail or contact form or register for an event, the information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing the request and for possible follow-up questions.
The following data is collected by BTC when contacting you: title, first name, last name, address, e-mail address, telephone, function and company, if applicable, and the request. The data will be processed for the purpose of processing and answering your request. The data will be deleted depending on your request. The data is processed in accordance with Art. 6 (1) lit. a,b GDPR.

Newsletter

If you are a customer of BTC and have stored your e-mail address as part of the customer relationship, this can subsequently be used by us to send a newsletter. You also have the option of registering for the free newsletter on our website.
If you explicitly agree that we may send you information about BTC events and products, we will use the data you provide for these purposes. For an effective registration we need a valid e-mail address. In order to check that a registration is actually made by the owner of an e-mail address, we use the “double opt-in” procedure. To do this, we log the subscription to the newsletter, the sending of a confirmation email and the receipt of the response requested here. We use software and services from Newsletter2Go GmbH, Köpenicker Str. 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany to create, send and manage the newsletter. Newsletter2Go is a German provider and member of the Certified Senders Alliance. In addition to our newsletter, we also use Newsletter2Go to send out invitations to events. The required data of the newsletter recipients is hosted on a Newsletter2Go server in an area to which we have password-protected access. The basis of the contract between us and Newsletter2Go are the General Terms and Conditions of Newsletter2Go, which you can read at https://www.newsletter2go.de/agb. Accordingly, Newsletter2Go assures that the data received will be kept confidential and used exclusively for the purpose of the contract. The newsletter software of the service provider Newsletter2Go analyzes the reach of the respective newsletter to ensure that the shipments actually reach the recipients. The recognizable individual behavioral patterns are only used for a statistical evaluation of the newsletter success and are never passed on to third parties or used for other purposes. You have the option of objecting to the sending of the newsletter at any time. For this purpose there is a corresponding link in every newsletter. Existence of automated individual decision-making (including profiling)​

We do not use automated decision-making processes in accordance with Article 22 GDPR.
